Notice of Intent to Sole-Source an Acquisition Pursuant to FAR subpart 13.5, in accordance with 41 U.S.C. § 1901, the Government anticipates entering into sole-source procurement negotiations with Press Ganey Associates Inc. ( Press Ganey ) to provide patient treatment satisfaction data collection and analysis for the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, 5000 West National Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53295. Accurate qualitative and quantitative data analysis requires a database that contains sufficient information to provide meaningful comparative evaluations. Press Ganey s proprietary database contains vast amounts of information permitting the largest peer-group comparisons in the healthcare industry, including data collected from thirty-two individual (32) Department of Veterans Affairs medical facilities and three (3) Veterans Integrated Service Networks. Press Ganey s unmatched proprietary database provides the unique capability to make timely, optimal decisions for modification of treatment regimens and is thus critical to continuing improvement of patient care. The above-cited authority and associated justification is made based on the determination that Government s requirements for this contract can only be satisfied by one source with unique capabilities. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals; however, all communications received by the deadline will be considered by the Government. Information received as a result of this Notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation document is available at this time.
