The information provided is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a request for proposal. This construction project will be set-aside for Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned-Small-Businesses (SDVOSBs). In accordance with VAAR 819.7003 (b), at the time of submission of offers/quotes, and prior to award of any contracts, the offeror must represent to the CO that it is a (1) SDVOSB eligible under VAAR Subpart 819.70; (2) Small business concern under the NAICS code assigned to this acquisition; and (3) SDVOSB listed as verified in VIP database at: https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov. The Jesse Brown VA Medical Center has a requirement for replacement of doors and other components of the doors to accommodate and provide fully functional locking security corrections to numerous doors. The contractor shall provide for and furnish all labor, materials, equipment, qualified supervision, and other items designated in accordance with the location maps and door photos/descriptions that will be provided to complete Project # 537-19-904: Doors Security Corrections at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center located at 820 S. Damen Ave, Chicago, IL 60612. This project shall include installation and programming of PIV card readers, physical access control systems, motion sensors, timer delays, intercoms, and remote door releases for various doors. Compatible systems for the doors include; Best® 7-pin, F keyway, and interchangeable core. Location maps and door photos/descriptions will be provided with the solicitation. The project magnitude price range is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement will be 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a size standard of $39.5 Million. The project is scheduled to have a period of performance of three hundred sixty-nine (369) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed is issued by the Contracting Officer. Please note this requirement may have bid deduct alternatives. The solicitation is scheduled be posted to Beta Sam at https://beta.sam.gov/ on or about April 1, 2020. The bid opening will be scheduled for approximately 30 days after the solicitation is posted.
