Page 1 of 3 The Department of Veterans Affairs Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) in North Chicago Il intends to negotiate a sole source contract EVOQUA WATER TECHS LLC for Maintenance of the system includes changing of the membranes and filters as necessary. In addition to the filters and membranes used in the de-ionized water system, water from the system is filtered through mixed bed, type 1 tanks (to be changed every 60/90/180 days) at the Hines VA Hospital located at 5000 5th Ave Hines Il 60141 Please see SOW below for more details This contract will be for a Base Plus Four Year contract. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The contract will be firm fixed price and the NAICS code is 221310 This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products, services and capabilities as well as references from other customers who are using these products and provide service for De-Ionized Water Service for the Hines VA Hospital to the contracting officer NLT 11:00AM CST, 11 September 2019. Supporting evidence must be submitted in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements and attached Statement of Work, to include access to OEM parts for repairs. Responses received will be evaluated; however a determination by the Government to not compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with EVOQUA WATER TECHS LLC STATEMENT OF WORK Background Maintenance of the Evoqua De-Ionized Water System and changing of the mixed bed, type 1, tanks are necessary to provide filtered de-ionized water to several laboratories and common resource rooms at the Edward Hines JR. VA Hospital, Research Service. This system is built in to the infrastructure of the Research Service and feeds de-ionized water to end stage purification systems as well as directly for laboratory use. Objectives Maintenance of the system includes changing of the membranes and filters as necessary. In addition to the filters and membranes used in the de-ionized water system, water from the system is filtered through mixed bed, type 1 tanks (to be changed every 60/90/180 days). Scope Contractor will be responsible for necessary upkeep of the current water system to keep filtered, deionized water supplied to laboratories and common resource areas. Tasks or Requirements Contractor will be responsible for changing of necessary filters, upkeep and routine maintenance of the de-ionized water system. Contractor will also be responsible for the changing of the mixed bed type 1 tanks (to be changed every 60/90/180 days).
