Page 1 of 2 This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of Other than Small Businesses and/or Small Businesses, including VIP-Verified Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) prospective contractors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 339114 (Drills, dental, manufacturing). The procurement is intended for dental use, compact bench-top machine that delivers a precisely controlled stream of micro-abrasive particles at high velocity. With the appropriate abrasive powder and the necessary adjustments, it will clean, deburr, cut or drill any material, particularly hard or brittle ones. Since dry air is used as a propellant, it is a relatively clean process. There will be three cleaning tools, as well as a workstation with 2 pressure tanks. Equipment must be able to meet or exceed the following Salient Characteristics: Will need a combined unit which consists of a blaster, workstation, dust collector and desiccant air dryer. (this will be a turn key system). Must be equipped with easy to remove HEPA filter. Workstation must be 115V/60Hz/290W. Workstation must not exceed 30"W x 46"H x 34" D. Workstation must be mobile. Ergonomic design for operator comfort (operator will be sitting at the workstation). Blaster must not exceed 22"W x 10"D x 9"H and weight no more than 46lbs. Blaster must have air volume between 0.5-2.0 SCFM. Blaster must have inlet air pressure between 80-140 psi, operating air pressure between 40-120 psi. Blaster must have dual tanks in order to use two different abrasives. Must have a 2.5x optics magnifier for viewing, which can easily attach to the workstation using Velcro. If responding to this notice please provide the following: Qualifications, capabilities, and experience for providing this product; Business size/Socioeconomic status; If the product is on the Federal Supply Schedule or the Open Market; and Memo or correspondence from manufacturer to distribute their products. This is not a Request for Proposal/Quote or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submissions will not be returned to the sender. VOSBs and SDVOSBs must be registered and verified in VIP for set-aside consideration. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 334118 and the small business size standard is 1000 employees.
