The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System / Cleveland VA Medical Center seeks a Brand Name Only, small-business set-aside purchase of the UltraSAFE Unit: Automatic Formalin Dispensing System for its Surgical Department, including all accessories. The required UltraSAFE system, exclusively supplied by Milestone Medical, must provide a fully enclosed, ventilated, zero-formalin-exposure workflow with HEPA/charcoal filtration, patented one-way valve lids, weight-based automated dispensing, barcode/LIMS logging, and thermal label printing. It is needed to address formalin spill safety concerns and bring the Cleveland VAMC OR into compliance with VA guidelines; Cleveland VAMC is reportedly the only surgical facility in the VISN without one. Delivery/performance is to the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, OH 44106, as a one-time buy, with Biomedical Engineering and warehouse staff involved in delivery and incoming inspection. The equipment must be interoperable with current clinical workflows and existing BX Microscopes/accessories, and the contractor will not have access to VA sensitive information.
