This is a sole source justification for a firm-fixed price IDIQ contract to provide a Hologic ThinPrep 5000 cytoprocessor system and related services for gynecological and non-gynecological specimen testing. The period of performance is from February 16, 2026, to February 15, 2031, with services performed at the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The justification states only Hologic can meet the requirement due to proprietary technology needed to transition from SurePath to ThinPrep processing, which is required for expanded HPV testing. An intent to sole source will be posted to SAM.gov to advise industry. The estimated total testing volume over the five-year period is 36,936 specimens.
