This is a Sources Sought Notice for boiler maintenance and repair services as identified in the Statement of Work (SOW) for the Saginaw VA Medical Center in Saginaw, Michigan. The contractor shall furnish all necessary tools, parts, repairs, labor, supplies, materials, equipment, supervision and transportation necessary to furnish the services noted below. The services required are provided and are subject to changes. A draft SOW is attached to this notice and is subject to change should a solicitation be issued as a result of this notice. DRAFT STATEMENT OF WORK GENERAL Saginaw VA Medical Center (SVA) requires a firm, fixed-price contract for maintenance and repair services for ten (10) boilers (three (3) of which heat domestic water) and two (2) electric steam generators and associated components, located at 1500 Weiss Street, Saginaw, MI 48602. SCOPE Contractor shall perform annual tuning of three (3) Unilux Boilers by adjusting the air to fuel ratio for both natural gas and fuel oil operation to achieve maximum combustion efficiency. All work shall include supervision, labor, materials, adjustments, parts, repairs, and tools required to complete the work as described in the boiler owner and operator s manual. FIELD REPORTS Contractor must provide a detailed report, listing each boiler separately, that includes, at minimum: All tasks completed When the work was performed Who performed the work Identification of the boiler serviced. SCHEDULING Contractor shall coordinate with COR and the Utility System Supervisor, a detailed schedule of visits to be approved by COR. NOTE: ANNUAL BOILER TUNING AND DA TANK INSPECTION MUST BE PERFORMED IN THE CONTRACT BASE YEAR, WITHIN SEVEN (7) CALENDAR DAYS FROM THE DATE OF AWARD. CHECK-IN PROCEDURES Contractor shall check in with the Facilities Management Service Secretary daily in Building 1, Room B115, to receive a visitors pass. COR and Utilities System Supervisor will be notified of contractor s arrival. HOURS OF WORK Services shall only be performed between the hours of 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays, at the location where service is to be performed.
