This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine the interest and capability of small businesses able to meet the requirements listed below. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Regional Procurement Office Central, Network Contracting Office 10 is seeking sources to provide one (1) new articulating snow removal tractor with accessories for the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center located at 1500 Weiss Street, Saginaw, MI 48602. The articulating snow removal tractor being sought is a Ventrac 4520N or equivalent. Ventrac part numbers are as follows: VT39.55401 Ventrac 52 Broom KJ520 VT70.4161 Kit, 12V Front 4520 VT70.8211 12V Acuator KJ Kit VT39.55428 Ventrac KX480 48 Snowblower VT70.8025 Kit, 12V Actuator, HB/KX/LX VT39.55271 Ventrac KV552 V-Blade VT70.2014 Ventrac KW452 Cab VT70.2006-4 Kit, Mirror VT70.8162 Kit, Cab Hazard Lights VT70.8161 Kit, Cab Strobe Light VT70.8148 Kit, Cab Windshield Washer VT70.2006-6 Kit, Defrost Fan VT70.2014-51 Kit, KW452 Heater Install 4500Y (Includes VT70.4146 & VT70.8136 to complete) VT70.8044 Kit, KV Snow Containment Flap VT4520N-SEAT 4520N Tractor VT70.4163 Kit, Foot Control 4520 VT70.2013 Ventrac SA250 Drop Spreader VT70.4105 Kit, 12V Rear 4500 VT70.8140 Kit, SA250 Install 4200/4500 Equivalent articulating snow removal tractors must meet the following requirements: Gasoline engine powered Single seat operator station Minimum of 5 inches of ground clearance to transit sidewalk curbing 60- inch maximum width of the power unit, cab, and any attached accessory units for the unit to be used for clearing sidewalks Front mounted accessory units required: Electric/hydraulic powered sweeper brush, snowblower, and snow blade Rear mounted salt spreader unit All front mounted accessories must have electric/hydraulic raise and lower function Cab enclosure with heat to operate in inclement weather Minimum of 5-degree grade slope operation All Wheel Drive (AWD) External lights to illuminate all areas surrounding unit while operating OEM must have a servicing dealer located no more than 75 miles from the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center Equipment must be manufactured domestically or subject to a Free Trade Agreement All equipment must be readily available for delivery FOB Destination to the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center within 14 days of contract award. Contractors that are interested in meeting this requirement are required to submit the following information: Specifications/product information for the proposed equipment (if other than the Ventrac brand) Company information to include name, address, point of contact, and SAM UEI. Any contractor that believes they are capable and desires to claim preference for small business status must be registered with the SBA and meet the requirements of FAR 19.102.
