There was insufficient time to perform a second solicitation in order to locate additional vendors. This contract action is to ensure continuity of services through a 1-year bridge contract. If a follow-on contract is needed the Government will perform a follow-on solicitation during this bridge contract period of performance after performing market research to ascertain if the marketplace has changed.
