Presolicitation Notice 36C25024B0007Page 2 of 2 Pre-solicitation Notice 36C25024B0007 Page 1 of 4 This is a Pre-solicitation announcement to inform potential offerors of the Department of Veterans Affairs intent to advertise for bids for the project entitled Renovate Bio-Hoods/Laminar Flow Hoods Project No. 553-21-104 to be accomplished at the Detroit VA Medical Center (VAMC) located in Detroit, MI. An Invitation for Bid (IFB) is planned to be issued on or about January 17, 2024. LOCATION OF WORK: Various locations throughout the Detroit VAMC The general intent of this project is to remove and replace 38 Bio- Hoods, 3 Laminar Flow Cabinets and 50 Chemical Fume Hoods Detroit VAMC. Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, supervision, and as-built information and all other related information to the remove and replace 38 Bio- Hoods, 3 Laminar Flow Cabinets and 50 Chemical Fume Hoods. Work includes general construction, alterations, necessary removal of existing structures and construction, as shown and specified in the drawings and specifications. Construction shall be performed in compliance with manufacturer s recommendations and applicable Codes and VA Battle Creek building standards. The period of performance for the project is Three Hundred Sixty-Five Days (365) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Complete details of the project requirements will be provided via issuance of the solicitation. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction Contractors, with a small business size standard of $45 million. Magnitude of cost for this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract within 120 days from bid opening date. This acquisition is a 100% set-aside for qualified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). Only offers from verified SDVOSB s registered in the Veteran Small Business Certification (VetCert) database (Veteran Small Business Certification (sba.gov) at the time of offer submission shall be deemed responsive. All non-responsive bids shall be rejected and ineligible for award. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of offers. No other information regarding scope, dates, etc. is available until issuance of the solicitation via Contract Opportunities. As authorized by FAR 5.102, solicitation dissemination is limited to electronic medium, and the VA will provide no hard copies.
