Parking Garage Tendon Repair Design Pre-Solicitation Questions & Answers The following questions from industry were received by the VA, and are being shared to benefit all potential submitters. The SF330 due date remains unchanged. 1. Page 8 states that "The A/E shall incorporate any comments from the VA 3rd party life safety review." Will the VA select and provide the reviewer, or should that person or firm be included in our SF330 submittal? This 3rd Party is a resource of the VA and is used as an outside reviewer. What this means, is that the VA has a 3rd party reviewer to look over the life safety measures of a design and any comments that they provide must be addressed and incorporated by the A/E as part of their design. The life safety review is not something that an interested submitter will need to provide. 2. Will a certified and / or independent cost estimator be required? Yes, this is a requirement that the VA is coming down hard on; that it be independent of the A/E. 3. Will the use of Revit be required for this project? The VA requires all designs be done in Revit. Final drawings must be supplied in both Revit and AutoCAD.
