The rational for the monitors: The Xhibit Central Station will allow nursing staff to view cardiac monitors from all areas of the nurse s station. Currently, most areas in the nurse s station have an obstructed view of the monitors. This puts patients at risk for harm due to the potential for deterioration in patient status or life-threatening events going unrecognized. The Xhibit Central Station will allow Nurses to monitor their patients in the critical care area and respond quickly to events and improve patient outcomes.
