PROJECT: 610A4-20-107 Replace Fire Alarm System Statement of Work: The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision necessary to replace the existing fire alarm system with a new campus-wide fire alarm system by the plans and specifications. The new system must be nonproprietary, meaning the manufacturer allows fair and open competition between vendors selling fire alarm devices. The manufacturer of the new system must provide certified maintenance and repair training for two of the VA s maintenance personnel to keep the majority of the system maintenance in-house. All work must be completed at the VA- Northern Indiana Health Care System Fort Wayne Campus, 2121 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, IN 46805. Work must be completed within 270 calendar days from the notice to proceed. Justification of Work: This project is designed to replace the existing fire alarm system that is outdated, and replacement parts can no longer be purchased in Fort Wayne, VA.
