The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) intends to release a Brand Name solicitation (RFQ) for the IntelliVue Information Center PIIC iX and Care Event Patient Monitoring System (PIIC-iX Revision C) software and hardware upgrade to sustain platform operations, and compatibility with Cerner Electronic Medical Records (EMR) implementation and Philips eICU Solutions. This procurement will be in accordance with FAR 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items and specifically FAR 13.501 Special Documentation Requirements, where acquisitions conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6, but still require a justification using the format of FAR 6.303-2. NAICS code 334510, size standard is 1,250 employees. The Battle Creek VA Medical Center, 5500 Armstrong Rd, Battle Creek, MI 49037 and the Wyoming VA Clinic, 5838 Metro Way SW, Wyoming, MI 49519 anticipates entering into a fixed price contract with the contractor providing the lowest price technically acceptable to the Government.
