The Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System, 400 Veterans Ave, Biloxi, MS 39531 is seeking to purchase Capella2. All interested companies shall provide quotation(s) for the following brand name ONLY: Supplies GCVHCS requests purchase of new medical equipment - the MADSEN Capella 2 DP+TE with wall unit, touchscreen kits, and install and training - for Biloxi (6 Units), Panama City (1 Unit), and Pensacola Audiology Clinics (6 Units). Audiology staff members often move between the four Gulf Coast Audiology Clinics and are required to utilize equipment quickly. Therefore, standardization of equipment is essential. The Madsen Capella 2 is integrated into the Otosuite operating system which is the shared interface with other Otometric systems used at our other facilities (Astera, Zodiac, Otocam). The use of Otosuite makes testing and data management more efficient, accurate, and convenient. The Madsen Capella 2 provides objective assessment of cochlear function, which is an important diagnostic tool for noise induced hearing loss, ototoxic monitoring, and a counseling tool when encountering functional hearing loss. This equipment allows for administration of testing protocols that are part of the standard of care for GCVHC Audiology Clinics. Both Biomedical Engineering and Audiology & Speech Pathology encourage continued use of current facility wide standard of Madsen Systems to continue seamless workflow among our providers, CBOC s, and medical center. Therefore, standardization of equipment is essential. These units are the same equipment used in the Audiology Clinics in Mobile and will allow for optimal use of clinician time and ensure minimal disruption to patient care.
