Dingell VA Medical Center, Sterile Processing Service, located in Detroit, MI. Information collected during this Sources Sought may be used in a set aside. If a solicitation is issued, the Government will do so in accordance with the most recent Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number is 337214. The NAICS size is 1,250 employees. Any contractor that believes they are capable and desires to claim preference for small business status must be registered with the SBA at http://web.sba.gov/pro-net/ and meet the requirements of FAR 19.102. Any contractor that believes they are capable and desires to claim preference for veteran owned small business (VOSB) status must be registered with the VIP at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov as a Service Disabled VOSB or VOSB. A Contractor that proposes to provide a supply that is not manufactured by their organization (nonmanufacturer) shall meet the requirements of FAR 52.219-33. Dingell VA Medical Center 4646 John R St Detroit, MI 48201 Statement of Work Instrument Assembly Tables, Sterile Processing Service, John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, Detroit, MI Overview: Current workstations in Sterile Processing Service (SPS) are old, have broken parts, and do not provide enough workspace to allow numerous instruments to be processed at one time. These workstations are outdated, and replacement parts are no longer available. The new workstations will have adjustable working magnification lamps for improved instrument inspection capability and allow visualization of rust, soil, and cracks in reusable medical material. These stations will have separate keyboard and monitor accommodations to maximize workspace and improve workflow. Equipment Requirements: 1. Eleven (11) CDS 1100 or equivalent instrument tables: 70-72 W x 28-30 D Height adjustable from 30-32 to 41-43-1/4 H (10-11-1/4 height range) using a two-cylinder electro-hydraulic system All stainless steel Two upper shelves: 70-72 W x 10-12 D, with approximately a 5-8 lip on the front Top shelves shall be 16-18 and 28-30 above work surface Table must have a stainless-steel base with 3-4 chrome plated steel total lock swivel caster Load capacity shall be 200-225 lbs. on the main work surface and 35-50 lbs on each upper shelf 2. Eleven (11) CDS 1020 or equivalent magnifying work lamps for CDS 1000/1100/equivalent instrument tables. Work lamps must be either factory or field installable by vendor 3. Eleven (11) CDS-1031 or equivalent computer enclosures, for CDS-1100/equivalent tables, factory or field installed 4. Eleven (11) CDS-1015 or equivalent outlet strips, 10-15 cord, hospital grade, 6 outlets per strip 5. Eleven (11) CDS-1030 or equivalent extension monitor arms, for CDS-1000/1100/equivalent instrument tables, factory or field installable 6. Eleven (11) CDS-1032 or equivalent trays for computer keyboard and mouse for CDS 1000/1100/equivalent instrument tables, factory or field installed 7. Eleven (11) CDS-1020 MTG or equivalent assessor kits required for field installation of the eleven (11) magnifying work lamps (if required) SERVICE REQUIREMENTS: 1. Vendor shall assemble 11 instrument tables to include installation of all attachments such as magnifying work lamps, extension arms, computer enclosures, outlet strips, and computer trays for keyboards/mice. Vendor must place instrument tables into workspaces in the sterile processing service. 2. Vendor shall be responsible for cleanup and removal of all packing material, crates, and debris. 3 Vendor will work with SPS leadership to schedule installation that minimizes down time of operations including, but not limited to, evenings and weekends. 4. Vendor shall provide educational material (oral or written) on operation of instrument assembly stations.
