This device has the capability to act as an objective assessment of functional movements which can play a vital role in our project, resorting sensation in lower limb amputees. The portable function contains integrated high sensitivity dual-balance force plates and can allow clinicians as well as research members to assess and train patients on tasks that mimic daily walking, stair stepping and sit-to-stand activities occurring within various research projects. The ability to collect accurate real-time force plate data during these activities to help improve not only the quality of life, but balance and mobility of those with sensorimotor deficits. Lastly, this low profile and light weight which makes it ideal for easy transportation within the motion studies laboratories.
