Sources Sought Synopsis This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only for Eyeglass Consumables for the VISN 10 VA Optical Lab in Indianapolis, Indiana. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (hubzone, 8(a), small business, small disadvantage business, Veteran owned small business (VOSB), Service disabled Veteran owned small business (SDVOSB), or large business) relative to NAICS 339115 (lenses, ophthalmic, manufacturing) with a size standard of 1000 employees. Note that if VA s pending market research establishes that two or more SDVOSB or VOSB, who are certified and verified in the VA s Vendor Information Pages (VIP), VIP.VETBIZ.GOV, can provide the supplies/perform the service, VA will set aside the underlying solicitation per 38 U.S.C. §8127. Responses to this synopsis shall be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this source sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published on betaSAM (formerly FBO) and/or GSA eBuy. Responses to this source sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors must respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this source sought announcement if one is posted. General Requirements: Refer to the attached listed of consumable supplies required for use in Satisloh brand eyeglass manufacturing machines. These machines consist of; PRA-Blocker, VFT-Orbit, HC6, Duo-Flex Toroflex and ES-4. The required supplies consumables must be able to manufacture eyeglasses in the Satisloh brand machines: MultiFlex Polishing Machine, Art Blocker A Machine, Art Blocker M Machine, Art De-Blocker A Machine, VFT-Orbit 2 Machine. In response to this announcement. This notice does not represent a commitment by the Government to pay for costs incurred in the preparation and submission of information or any other costs incurred as a response to this announcement.
