Unique characteristics that limit availability to only one source, with the reason no other supplies or services can be used: URGENCY of need. Dayton VAMC received authority from VISN-10 on 12/3/20 to commercially contract for this test. CompuNet can provide required TAT, is eligible for immediate award, and can immediately start performance. Description of market research conducted and results or statement why it was not conducted: The following questions were asked of the local reference laboratories: Do you offer Drive-Thru COVID collections locally for patients? What is the cost of a COVID PCR test? What method would be used for COVID testing? What is the Turn-Around-Time (TAT) for a result?
