The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and any other items required to complete project Replace CARES Tower Flooring & Nurse Stations , at the Louis Stokes Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 10701 East Blvd., Cleveland, OH 44106, in accordance with the specifications and drawings. The Replace CARES Tower Flooring & Nurse Stations project will include all construction requirements shown or implied in the Drawings and Specifications that will replace approximately 7,900 square feet of existing carpet flooring with new hard surface flooring at the existing Nurse Station areas (including some adjacent rooms) and the Conference Room spaces at each level of the CARES Tower addition to the Main Medical Center (Levels A, B, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6). The project will include the replacement of the existing flooring system and all of the material transitions to adjacent flooring materials and all associated wall base. The project will also include the evaluation of the existing Nurse Station Millwork at each level of the CARES Tower (approximately 1000 sf total) to determine if they need to be replaced or repaired. This project will be solicited pursuant to the Veterans' First Program and Public Law 109-461 as a 100% Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). In accordance with Veterans Affairs Acquisition Regulation (VAAR) 852.219-10(c) (4), the SDVOSB Contractor or SDVOSB Sub-Contractor is required to perform a minimum of (15%) of the construction work on the project. Duration of the project should not exceed Three Hundred Thirty-one (263) calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). A one-time only site visit will be scheduled and that information will be in the solicitation package.
