This project will cool the main electrical equipment room of the Chalmers P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care Center (VAACC). In addition, it will replace some of the existing critical and life safety branch emergency distribution panel boards within the VAACC. The project will take place at the VAACC located, in Columbus, OH. All employees of general contractor and subcontractors shall comply with VA security management program and obtain permission of the VA police, be identified by project and employer, and restricted from unauthorized access. SET-ASIDE INFORMATION: This solicitation will be issued pursuant to the authority under Public Law 109-461 (38 U.S.C. 8127) and is a 100% Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The SDVOSB must be small under the relevant North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code and MUST be registered and verified in the following websites: http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov, www.sam.gov, to name a few, to be eligible for award. Bidders MUST ensure registration in these websites are accurate, complete and have not expired prior to bid opening date. Project magnitude is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The NAICS code is 238210 and the business size standard is $16.5 million. In accordance with Veterans Affairs Acquisition Regulation (VAAR) 852.219-10(d) (4), the SDVOSB is required to perform a minimum of 25% of the construction work on the project. BONDS in form of Bid, Payment and Performance will be required. SITE VISIT: a one-time only site visit will be scheduled and that information will be in the solicitation package.
