Page 2 of 2 Statement of Objectives Purpose: The purpose of this contract is to procure WIFI Services to include repair, installation, maintenance, and monitoring throughout the Chillicothe VA Medical Center (CVAMC). A Solicitation will be released Contract Opportunities on Monday July 27, 2020 and will remain open until Monday, August 3, 2020 @ 4:00pm. Background: CVAMC has experienced extremely slow internet, and at times unavailable internet, for our Patient/Guest network. After WIFI troubleshooting it was found that the current system is old and has outdated AP (Access Point) devices that were not equipped to handle the number of devices that are currently being used. Therefore, an upgrade of the WIFI system is required. Scope: This contract will include replacing all 48 AP devices with new AP devices w/mounting brackets, adding 5 new AP devices w/mounting brackets, labor, materials, software, AP license, cloud management of AP, report capabilities of number of users and speed, ability to rate limit, ability to have a network for Guest and another for Patients, design and configuration. AP devices are in 8 different buildings that encompasses 19 different floors. Additional requirements are outlined in the Statement of Work. Program Objectives: CVAMC plans to bring the facilities WIFI services up to a functional and operable standard by making sure various supplies/services/labor/maintenance/monitoring requirements are implemented as outlined in the Statement of Work.
