Brief Description of Supplies/ Services required and the intended use/Estimated Amount: SR Research Eye-Link 1000 Plus with Workstation Host PC and LCD Arm Mount for tracking infants through to adults. Cart, head support, and stimulus presentation hardware included. Includes an extra parallel port for both Host and Display PCsh/ The requested equipment – Eye-link Portable Duo Workstation is essential to the research efforts of Dr. Assaf Shaikh and his upcoming Merit Review research -Subthalamic deep brain stimulation to modulate vestibular heading perception in Parkinson's disease’. This system will work with the existing Eye-link system to capture the necessary research data. The cost estimate is $38,000. 3. Unique characteristics that limit availability to only one source, with the reason no other supplies or services can be used: This system is only manufactured by SR Research. It is a unique system for this research trial. We have tried to locate a similar system with no luck. There is no SDVOSB/VOSB’s that this can be purchase through and rule of two unattainable. 4. Description of market research conducted and results or statement why it was not conducted: An internet search was conducted and found a purchase of this system occurred in October 2016 at the Houston VA Medical Center.
