Drawings with specific measurements and location of incoming HVAC duct, plumbing, and electrical? Sink placement, hood placement, storage area measurements, and pass through and doors all need noted with size measurements on drawings for manufacturing specifications in ordering the drop-in clean room, per requested. Engineering provided CAD drawings with set-aside area measurements and marking for the electrical access, plumbing, and hoods. Electrical is 225 AMP, 208 volt, 3 phase panel for HVAC and hoods. Duct into modular clean room is split system with electric heat. Condenser unit outside on pad where window is to be removed. A 225 amp panel power will be located in Pharmacy Safe Area. 2.) POC for installation staff to report to? CO response. This will be provided to winning bidder upon award. 3.) Will temporary walls need to be installed by the installer? Engineering response. Not necessary. 4.) Window removal at Marion site. Who s responsibility? Per Engineering they will remove, build wall, and setup condensing unit line on the outside of that wall. 5.) Location of electrical panel for HVAC connection and location of incoming duct and is VA providing the duct work. Engineering see drawing marks. 6.) Timeline for award, installation, training, and completion. Also, is installation of both facilities to be done at the same time or consecutively? CO response .This will be provided to the winning bidder upon award from the bid review board (Pharmacy service and Engineering). 7.) Humidifier required? Per Pharmacy Yes. Humidifier required in clean room. Fort Wayne, IN VAMC Questions & Answers 8.) Two (2) hoods required for this location and only 1 for Marion. Need hood locations specified and specs on venting hazards. Engineering - see drawings. 9.) HVAC is cool and warm air required and how will it be duct to clean room? Engineering see drawings and same answer as 10.) Drawing needs to show un-removable weight bearing column and placement for modular clean room specs to provide opening for the column. Engineering marked on drawings. 11.) Fire sprinkler system required in clean room/ante area? (SOW states in clean room.) Engineering YES. See drawings. VA engineering will pipe from existing sprinkler system into clean room. 12.) Wall to new storage area with pass-thru, will the wall be removed for a modular wall? Pharmacy & Engineering - NO. Area for the pass thru door will be cut out of the wall by VA Engineering prior to install of clean room. See drawings 13.) 13.) Any floor work required prior to installation of clean rooms? Engineering - NO. 14.) HVAC inquiry on provide heat and cold for the clean room be provided by the facility? Engineering VA will provide. 15.) How will Hazardous Storage room be vented outside (as required on SOW)? Engineering NO. Northern Indiana VAMC Vendor Questions Is this project prevailing wage? If so could you provide a wage determination for project? No. This is a drop in supply order and NOT a construction project. Does this project require TB testing? No. This is a supply order, not a construction project. Vendors will need temporary visitor pass. Does this project require superintendent full time on project? No. Not construction project. Does this project require scheduling specifications? Schedule will be completed after award and agreement with the winning bidder. Will this project require waste management plan? No. Will this project require submittals if so will the VAMC use submittal exchange or email transmittals? Per the bid package, submit your bid to the Contracting Officer (Lillie.grey@va.gov) via email. Will this project require a performance and payment bond? No. Not construction project. Will a site specific safety plan be required? No. Not construction project. Will the VAMC provide drawings of the size rooms to be placed in the project? Providing with the bid modification. Will this project require the contractor to install infectious control measures? If so please provide what will be required. NO. There were discussions at the pre-bid to add storage areas and shelving will this be by the contractor or VAMC? No. Not included in this bid request. Additional Answers and Clarification Including correct drawings (with measurements) The clean room outside dimensions are on the drawings I sent (reattached in Word). Marion space available for cleanroom is 12 by 12 . Fort Wayne space available cleanroom is 23 -8 by 11 with a 14.25 square column located inside. Utility placement does not currently exist. Cannot provide more than general location (see drawings). When the cleanroom design is furnished by the vendor, Engineering will coordinate with Engineering s AE/construction contractor to provide placement for utilities. 8.   The interior design of the cleanroom is between Pharmacy and the cleanroom contractor. 9.   See 1. 11. Engineering is not bringing any utility into the cleanroom; only to the cleanroom (plug-and-play). Cleanroom should only need utilities to be hooked up to function. 15. Existing Hazardous Storage already exhausts.
