The Saint Louis Veterans Affairs Medical Center is seeking to anticipate to award a 4-year research service contract for performance of high-throughput NGS data analysis of samples from the Kendall Lab to facilitate research into autoimmune pathways and the development of healthy immune systems in B Lymphocytes in Autoimmune Diseases. The laboratory will perform high-throughput B cell receptor (BCR) repertoire analysis of IgA+ B cell lineages from Peyer s patches (PP) and lamina propria (LP) to understand the molecular characteristics of BCR development in Btk-deficient mice compared to normal controls. The Kendall lab will use 8-9 week old Btk-deficient K/BxN and K/BxN sufficient littermates and isolate lamina propria IgA+ plasma cells and Peyer s patch IgA+ B cells. BCRs will be sequenced using Illumina 2x300bp MiSeq analysis to determine the repertoire of IgA antibodies from plasma cells and GC cells. This is a Sources Sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (large business, small business, 8(a), SDVOSB, etc.), relative to NAICS code 541715. Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Based on responses to this synopsis, the Government may issue this RFP. Potential contractors may submit a capability statement to the contracting office than no later than Friday, May 26th, 2023, 4:00 PM EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Rachael Talbott at rachael.talbott@va.gov with subject titled: 36C24E23Q0142. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
