The Veteran s Administration (VA) Office of Research and Development, Regional Procurement Office East in Pittsburgh, PA intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Biological Optical Technologies (BIOPTECHS) based in Butler, PA on behalf of the Bronx, NY VA Healthcare System. The requirement is for 2 Microscopic Flow Chamber systems in accordance with the minimum specifications outlined below: The chamber shall have the following features: Compatible with all modes of microscopy Adapts to all brands of microscopes Ideal for high resolution imaging Accommodate adherent cells, tissue or suspended specimens The Flow Chamber controller shall meet/exceed: Complete control of the volume within the optical cavity Complete control of the separation between optical surfaces Complete control of the shape or profile of the flow channel Laminar or customized flow User definable shear force The Precision Temperature Control feature shall meet/exceed the following: Control of temperature to within 0.2 of a degree Uniform temperature control across the specimen plane on the market Highly efficient rapid temperature stabilization Temperature control both above and below ambient The following components shall also be included: A Starter Set which includes, the Chamber, Chamber Controller, five (5) Micro aqueduct Slides, one hundred (100) #1.5 - 40mm German Desag263 Coverslips, and one (1) 30-piece Gasket Set. The requirement will take place at a VA facility Bronx, NY. The sole source is pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however; any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement and supporting documentation to the contracting office no later than Thursday, August 25, 2022, (10:00 AM, EST). A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
