THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY. This is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources who can provide this specific BRAND NAME ONLY equipment Bio-Rad QX200 Droplet Digital PCR System. BACKGROUND: The San Diego VA Medical Center requires the Bio-Rad QX200 Droplet Digital PCR System. This is a (Droplet) Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Machine that is needed for the VA Gordon Mansfield SCI Consortium Project. This device will be used for amplifying and reading DNA and RNA sequences of genetic material that is being used for gene therapy research. No other product had the new PCR technology using droplets. INSTRUCTIONS TO INTERESTED VENDORS: If you are interested and capable of providing the required product, please provide the requested information as indicated below. 1. Provide a statement that you can provide the BRAND NAME ONLY Bio-Rad QX200 Droplet Digital PCR System. 2. Provide your business DUNS # and size? (Large business, small business, veteran owned small business, or service-disabled veteran owned small business) Send responses to this notices to Lynn.Portman@va.gov by Wednesday, August 4th at 12pm EST. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published on beta.sam. All interested offers will have to respond to the solicitation announcement, in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions.
