THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY. This is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources who can provide this specific BRAND NAME ONLY equipment SpectraMax i3x Multi-Mode Microplate Detection platform. BACKGROUND: The Boston VA Medical Center required the SpectraMax i3x Multi-Mode Microplate Detection platform. This machine is a replacement for an outdated i3x from Molecular Devices SpectraMax Plate Reader which is present in VA research department. The new model i3x can be upgraded by adding modules for specialized effects such as the Cisco HTRF Detection Cartridge and a pipette module and more. The SpectraMax i3x from Molecular Devices is the only product on the market compatible with SpectraMax MiniMax Imaging Cytometer option for Western Blots and/or SpectraDrop Micro-Volume Microplate and thus is the only equipment that will work within the VA lab. INSTRUCTIONS TO INTERESTED VENDORS: If you are interested and capable of providing the required services, please provide the requested information as indicated below. 1. Provide a statement that you can provide the BRAND NAME ONLY SpectraMax i3x Multi-Mode Microplate Detection platform. . 2. Provide your business DUNS # and size? (Large business, small business, veteran owned small business, or service-disabled veteran owned small business) Send responses to this notices to Lynn.Portman@va.gov by Wednesday, August 4th at 12pm EST. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published on beta.sam. All interested offers will have to respond to the solicitation announcement, in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions.
