The Greater Los Angeles VA Medical Center intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with MR SOLUTIONS AMERICAS, LLC for an MR-3T MRI scanner which is dedicated for small animal MRI. This particular scanner operates at the same field strength as that used in humans (3 Tesla) and can be installed into an existing, typical laboratory space without additional, expensive building construction. The required system must have a specific size of the magnet (at least 18 cm which accommodates an 82 mm outer diameter radiofrequency coil). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement and who is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller of all the items listed above, may submit a capability statement to the contracting office to the contracting office no later than Friday, April 10, 2020, 4:00 PM EST. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
