Lexington VA Health Care System Sterile Processing Service (SPS) Salient Characteristics Rack Return/Pass-Through Window The LVAHCS is seeking to purchase an enclosed rack return to replace the current pass through window. The current pass through window has been a citation in the VISN inspection for FY23 and FY24. The new rack return will ensure that decontamination area and prep area hold the correct temperature/humidity and air pressure. A vendor must be able to come in and verify the rack return/pass through window will fit the current space. The rack return must fit into current space without modifications. The current space is 883mm X 2362mm X 1008 mm, or 34 ¾ X 93 X 39 11/16 . The rack return must be fully enclosed in both the decontamination and prep areas to ensure each area holds at the correct temperature/humidity and air pressure. The rack return must be able to fit the current washer disinfector racks used in the facility. The installation must not cause a stoppage of work in the department. The rack return must be installed over the weekend and without major construction. The rack return/pass through window will be installed in conjunction with the delivery. The vendor will provide and install any additional stainless panels needed to ensure a closed space. Items will be packaged to prevent damage during shipment.
