The Lexington VA Healthcare System, Troy Bowling Division, has a requirement for a contractor to provide construction services for Project # 596A4-19-106 - Upgrade Parking Garage Lighting/Replace Parking Garage Gates in accordance with the Statement of Work, Project Specifications and Drawings. The Work includes general construction, alterations, roads, walks, ceilings, lights and necessary removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items shown and identified in the Statement of Work, Specifications and Drawings. The project work will take place in a medical environment and the proposed contractor shall take into consideration infection control, demolition noise, environmental dust control, and specialized facility requirements as necessary in working in a medical/hospital centered setting. NAICS Code 236220 is applicable to this requirement. The Small Business size standard is $45M. The estimate range of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00. This requirement will be procured by way of FAR Part 15, as a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) source selection process. The evaluation factors and sub-factors under consideration for this requirement will be available upon the solicitation release, which is anticipated to be on or shortly after July 26, 2024. This is a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside Procurement. Offerors must be registered in the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) VetCert site at the time of submission of proposal and award. Failure to be both VERIFIED by the SBA and VISIBLE on VetCert at the time of proposal submission and at time of award will result in the offeror s proposal deemed technically unacceptable. All offerors are urged to contact the SBA VetCert (https://veterans.certify.sba.gov) and submit the required documents to obtain verification of their SDVOSB status if they have not already done so. Offerors must be registered in the SAM website located at https://sam.gov. Interested parties are to be registered in SAM at the time of offers due and time of award. In addition to the requirements as set forth in the solicitation notice (to be issued), the proposed contractor must also be determined responsible in accordance with FAR Part 9. The Contracting Officer will determine responsibility prior to award any award being made. The Project number, Project Name and Solicitation Number must be included in the subject line of all questions related to this requirement.
