The Contractor shall provide the following services on 1 October 2023 for a base period of one-year with four (4) one-year option periods. A minimum of one (1) and up to four (4) Licensed Pharmacist(s) and a minimum of one (1) and up to eight (8) Certified Pharmacy Technician(s) as required by the Department of Veterans Affairs Healthcare System; hereinafter called VA, Tennessee Valley Healthcare System, Nashville/Murfreesboro, Tennessee, with the actual number of staff needed at any one time and the specific campus location needed directly dependent upon workload required by the Service. The VA will require a maximum of 4 contract Licensed Pharmacist(s) and 8 contract Certified Pharmacy Technician(s). The Pharmacists' and Technicians primary function is to provide professional expertise in the Inpatient/Outpatient Section as assigned by Pharmacy Management, Tennessee Valley Healthcare System (TVHS) Pharmacy Service, on a rotational basis, and be directly involved in all aspects of the preparation and dispensing of pharmaceuticals, monitoring the use of pharmaceuticals, and organizing and prioritizing this work.
