This requirement will be procured per Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.213 Special Procedures for Sealed Bidding in construction contracting. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Officer (NCO) 9 intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for a firm-fixed price construction contract for: Proposed Work: Provide all labor, materials, equipment, and expert supervision needed to Replace 6-North Patient Room Doors. Replace nine (9) Intensive care Unit (ICU) room doors and hardware and one (1) double corridor door and hardware and door controls in accordance with the project specifications and drawings. Work includes infection control to level 4 and construction phasing. See attached Magnitude of construction is $250,000.00 and $500,000.00 Location: Robley Rex VA Medical Center (VAMC), Main Building 800 Zorn Avenue, Building 1, 6th Floor, North, Louisville, KY 40206 Tentative dates for issuing invitations, opening bids, and completing contract performance: A previous presolicitation notice under 36C24923B0008 was posted for this same requirement on 1/12/2023. That invitation was cancelled IAW FAR 14.404-1(e)(2). This invitation 36C24923B0016 is anticipated to be issued by 5/3/2023. Anticipated Opening is 6/1/2023. Completing of contract performance is no later than 10/31/2023. Any plans for inspection will be available from the engineering office at the affected site without charge. All requests for an Invitation for Bid should be submitted no later than: 5/31/2023. This requirement is anticipated to be an Unrestricted Competition. No charge is expected for any solicitation documents. Additional Information: All offerors must be actively listed in the System for Award Management (SAM) database- sam.gov. Bidders are advised that this requirement may be delayed, cancelled, or revised at any time during presolicitation, solicitation, and final award process.
