GENERAL INTENTION Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for Project 596A4-19-106 Upgrade Parking Garage Lighting and Replace Parking Garage Gates-TBC as required by drawings and specifications. Visits to the site by Bidders shall only be made at the scheduled pre-bid site visit, NO OTHER site visits are authorized. Offices of FFE, Inc. the design firm for this project, will render certain technical services during construction. Such services shall be considered as advisory to the Government and shall not be construed as expressing or implying a contractual act of the Government without affirmations by Contracting Officer or his duly authorized representative. All employees of general contractor and subcontractors shall comply with VA security management program and obtain permission of the VA police, be identified by project and employer, and restricted from unauthorized access. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS All work including materials will be warranted for a period of one year. Normal working hours are Monday thru Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Contractor may be required to work some nights and or weekends to perform this work and maintain functionality of affected areas, and to minimize disruptions to the Medical Centers operations. Weekend and evening work shall be identified on the project schedule submitted by the contractor and approved by the VA before work begins. All employees of general contractor and subcontractors shall comply with VA security management program and obtain permission of the VA police, be identified by project and employer, and restricted from unauthorized access.

General Intention: The contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for Project #596A4-19-106 Upgrade Parking Garage Lighting and Replace Parking Garage Gates at the Lexington VAMC, Troy Bowling Campus, 1101 Veterans Drive Lexington, KY 40502 as required by drawings and specifications. This will be a 100% total set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns under the authority of 38 U.S.C section 8127 (d). NAICS code 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, applies to this requirement. The small business size standard is $39.5M. This requirement will be procured per Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 14.101 - Sealed Bidding. The solicitation is expected to be posted on or around May 19, 2022, and close on or around June 22, 2022. This requirement is a 100% total set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns under the authority of 38 U.S.C §8127 (d). Only those SDVOSB s listed and viewable in the Center for Verification & Evaluation (CVE) database located at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/. The CVE database will be checked at the time of offer submission as well as prior to award. All offers must also have an active listing in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. The awarded contractor must also submit evidence of enrollment with VETS4212.
