Pre-Solicitation Notice Memphis Special Mode Transportation The Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 9 (Nine) intends to release solicitation 36C24921R0110 for Special Mode Transportation Services for beneficiaries of the Memphis Veteran Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has a requirement to provide Special Mode Transportation Services as prescribed by policies and procedures at Government expense to VA beneficiaries receiving care throughout the VAMC Memphis and the surrounding area. The Department of Veterans Affairs requires the contractor to assist with the administration, coordination, and performance of the medical centers transportation operation. The VA requires contractor services to safely and efficiently transport VA beneficiaries to and from medical appointments from the beneficiary s place of origin to a destination. The mode of travel is based on what is most economical and consistent with the patient s needs. The contractor shall provide all equipment, personnel, supervision, and support to provide these transportation services. The full solicitation will be posted on Contracting Opportunities located at https://beta.sam.gov (SAM) on or about July 20, 2021. The Base performance period will be for 12 months after award, with four 1-year option periods. This is a pre-solicitation notice of an upcoming request for proposal (RFP) solicitation to satisfy the requirements of FAR 5.201 and 5.203. All questions should be directed to the Contract Specialist, who will consolidate all questions and release a FAQ amendment (if necessary) once the solicitation is released. All interested parties should register via the SAM portal at https://sam.gov/SAM to be eligible for participation in the solicitation. It is the responsibility of the offeror to monitor and download amendments from SAM which may be issued to this solicitation. Prospective firms must be registered in the System for Award Management (www.sam.gov) and in the Vendor Information Pages (VIP) database on Vet Biz (www.vetbiz.gov) if claiming Veteran preference prior to award.
