This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources (small and other than small) to perform a potential requirement. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 9, is seeking a contractor to support the needs of the Memphis VAMC. This requirement is for the installation of five skylights to cover existing openings in the Bed Tower Canopy. The contract is expected to be awarded under FAR 6.302-1. A Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition will be prepared. STATEMENT OF WORK 614-21-3-5070-0753 The Memphis VAMC is seeking a licensed contractor to install skylight over existing openings in the Bed Tower Canopy, to prevent the elements from disturbing patients and visitors using this entrance. Location of Service Memphis VA Medical Center 1030 Jefferson Avenue Memphis, Tn. 38104 SCOPE OF WORK The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, and material to includes all parts and labor for this placement during normal business hours or after hours. WORK REQUIREMENTS: Contractor shall manufacture and install five (5) skylights over existing openings in the Bed Tower Canopy. Approximate measurements are 4 FT X 10 FT Plastic Dome Skylights. Contractor Shall furnish 100% of equipment needed to accomplish this task. Contractor shall be responsible for barricading areas around the lift area and below area when Dome is being installed to ensure the safety of workers, and visitors entering and exiting the facility. Contractor shall ensure all trash and debris are removed from site after the workday has been completed. Instructions Contractor will provide supervision to ensure proper procedures are used. Contractor and their staff are not permitted to take any pictures, videos or drawings of any type. Contractor and their staff are not permitted to take any pictures, videos or drawings of any type. Taking of photographs/videos are prohibited while on VA premises. The contractor s staff will check in with the VA police to receive a VA work authorization badge. The badge must be worn facing forward and above the waistline. The contractors staff are required to wear the VA issued badge at all times. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, interested SDVOSB, VOSB, and other small business parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to this requirement no later than April 19, 2021 at 10:30am Central Time (CT). Purpose and Objectives: Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Department of Veterans Affairs will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Only written responses will be considered. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this notice of intent, the Government shall determine if a solicitation will be issued. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award.
