Cleaning of Canteen Kitchen Exhaust Hoods, Ducts, and Filters at the Lexington VA Medical Center Description of Services: Pre-solicitation Synopsis - The Canteen Kitchen utilizes an array of cooking equipment and products that produce grease vapors and fumes that can collect in the exhaust system and serve as fuel load for a fire. The need to properly maintain this system is critical for fire safety at this facility. The majority of the duct system is original construction dating back to 1973. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment and incidentals to provide and execute complete grease duct and hood systems cleaning and preventive maintenance in accordance with NFPA 96 as applicable. These services will be provided four (4) times a year during the months of April, July, October and January. The Lexington VAMC is contemplating a base year with 3 option years. Services will begin on or about December 15, 2019. This procurement will be a Small Business set aside. NAICS code: 561790 and sized standard is 1,500 employees. Respondent claiming Veteran status must be registered and CVE verified in VetBiz Registry www.vetbiz.gov. All vendors must be registered in System for ward Management database (www.SAM.gov) to be eligible for award of this contract. The anticipated contract type will be a Firm Fixed-Price. The solicitation will be posted to FedBizOpp website on or about November 25, 2019. This date is subject to change. The contract shall be established as a base year plus 3 option years and will be awarded as Fixed Price. Anticipated period of performance: October 01, 2019 September 30, 2020 Base Year and 3 Option Years.
