The Tennessee Valley Healthcare Service (TVHS) has implemented an initiative, inspired by the anticipated “second-wave” of the COVID-19 National Emergency Pandemic, for a state-of-the-art, hands-free, wireless communications solution to improved rapid communication between checkpoint entries and second level screening areas. The Vocera Professional Services Solution® allows for total hands-free communication with devices worn and are operational under full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), allowing for greater control over the spread of COVID19. An approved Limiting Sources Justification (LSJ) was created in accordance with FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(B), Only one source is capable of providing the supplies and/or services required at the level of quality required, because the supplies and/or services are unique or highly specialized.
