High Consequence Infectious Disease (HCID) Staff Training
The VA is conducting market research for a contractor to provide High Consequence Infectious Disease (HCID) training to Orlando VA Healthcare System staff at the Orlando VA Medical Center in Orlando, Florida. The work would include up to six virtual interactive classes for as many as 300 staff and five onsite hands-on PPE donning/doffing classes for up to 60 staff. The contractor would supply qualified instructors, instructional materials, attendance records, competency assessments, completion certificates, and feedback summaries, while the Government anticipates providing training PPE and onsite space. Training must align with current CDC guidance and applicable OSHA standards, including bloodborne pathogens, PPE, and respiratory protection requirements. All courses are anticipated to be completed within 60 calendar days after contract award, with onsite training potentially scheduled outside normal business hours.
