Intent to Sole Source | FY26 Pneumatic Tube System Maintenance and Software Support Svc.

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8, intends to award a firm-fixed-price, sole-source contract to TransLogic Corporation (a Swisslog Healthcare company) for preventive maintenance and software support of the existing TransLogic/Swisslog pneumatic tube system at the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center in Bay Pines, Florida. The contract is anticipated to consist of a 12-month base period plus four 12-month option periods, with an anticipated award/effective date of September 30, 2026. The Government has determined TransLogic is the only responsible source because the Bay Pines system uses TransLogic-specific hardware, controls, and proprietary Nexus™ System Control Software, and only TransLogic authorized personnel are permitted to service, install, or upgrade the system. A separate RFQ will be posted, and all responsible sources may submit a quotation and/or capability statement; timely responses will be considered. The VA is seeking commercial preventive maintenance and software support for the existing TransLogic/Swisslog pneumatic tube system at the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center in Bay Pines, Florida.
