Sources Sought Notice Sources Sought Notice Page 3 of 3 Sources Sought Notice *= Required Field Sources Sought Notice Page 1 of 3 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8, hereby announces its intent to award a sole-source, firm-fixed contract to Melling Medical for the procurement of the Lumenis Stellar IPL w/Q switch, ReSurFX, YAG with Acne & VASC. This contract is designated for the Dermatology Department at James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, located at 12210 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, Tampa, FL 33612.The anticipated award is in compliance with FAR 13.106.1(b), which permits sole-source contracts when only one source can supply the required supplies or services at the necessary quality level due to their unique or highly specialized nature. The contract falls under the firm fixed-price category according to NAICS Code 339112, with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. A Sole Source Justification has been duly prepared. The contract's base performance period is slated from January 20, 2024, to February 19, 2024. This announcement does not solicit competitive proposals or offers, and no solicitation package will be provided. The decision not to engage in competitive procurement rests solely with the Government. Any responses to this notice should present clear and convincing evidence that competition would be beneficial to the Government. Additionally, responsible sources are invited to submit a capabilities statement demonstrating, by a preponderance of the evidence, that another contractor can fulfill a service contract for the Lumenis Stellar IPL w/Q switch, ReSurFX, YAG with Acne & VASC system at the James A.
