NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE:Â Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8) intends to award a sole source contract award to RDC/John Poe Architects, L.L.L.P. 524 Fernwood Dr Altamonte Springs, Fl 32701 for architect and engineering services needed on two task orders awarded to the vendor using contract number 36C24819D0023, located at the James A. Haley VA Medical Center at 13000 Bruce B. Downs Tampa, FL 33612. The Facilities Maintenance Services department is requesting additional design services for two projects: PN: 673-22-110, Renovate Kitchen and Cafes and PN: 673-21-116, Restoration of Building 1 Envelope that the above-named vendor is already awarded and actively working. Work includes designing a temporary kitchen for use during construction, new cooler and freezer layouts, cooler tower designs, alternate kitchen equipment, updated cost estimates, a limited geophysical study, and construction period service costs. NAICS Code is 541330, Engineering Services with a Small Business Size Standard of $25.5 million. The classification code is C1DA Architect and Engineering- Construction: Hospitals and Infirmaries. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements above, may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
