The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions made by contractors in response to this solicitation, to change the quote submission date, to change the schedule of prices, and finally to provide additional attachments. The questions made in response to solicitation no. 36C24824Q0829 are the following: 1- Question: Does the VA currently possess the exhaust hoods to be installed? Answer: Yes. The three (3) exhaust hoods to be installed are currently located at the mental health domiciliary facility, where they will be installed. 2- Question: Can you provide the mechanical plan for the area in which the exhaust hoods will be installed? Answer: Yes. The mechanical plan has been attached to this amendment to the original solicitation. 3- Question: Can you provide the specifications for the exhaust hoods to be installed. Answer: Yes. These specifications will also be attached to this amendment of the original installation. 4 - Question: Are there existing electrical connections to which these exhaust hoods are going to be installed, or does the Contractor have to install these as well? Answer: There are existing electrical connections to which the exhaust hoods will be installed. Please refer to the power plan, which was previously provided on the initial solicitation. 5 - Question: Is there be wall flashing included with the exhaust hoods, or does it have to be provided by the Contractor? Answer: There is currently no wall flashing included with the exhaust hoods at the facility. The wall flashing has to be provided by the Contractor. This has been added under item 4.18 of the revised Performance Work Statement for this solicitation. 6- Questions: Will the Contractor be required to install the previously mentioned wall flashing? Answer: Yes, the Contractor shall be responsible for providing the wall flashing beneath the installed exhaust hoods in the cooking area only. The quote submission deadline has been extended to April 16, 2024 at 12:00 PM Atlantic Standard Time (AST). Additionally, the Schedule of Prices has been revised to reflect the new period of performance for these services, which are now 04/22/2024 05/10/2024. Revised Schedule of Prices is attached. The Performance Work Statement (PWS) has also been revised, to include the installation of the wall flashing (section 4.18). Finally, attachments with the mechanical plan of the area and kitchen fan specifications have been added.
