Notice of Intent to Sole Source: The North Florida/South Georgia (NF/SG) Veterans Healthcare System, Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center, 1601 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32608 has a requirement to provide BAS Control Maintenance for the climate control system. The proposed source is Siemens Industry. Siemens Industry is the only known authorized vendor for the Siemens OEM Head Controls. The system is proprietary, and Siemens is the only ones who can support the system with software and firmware upgrades. Controller panels will need to have firmware installed in them by Siemens. Points in the field panels will need to be addressed by Trained Siemens technicians. Siemens technicians need to be used for all programming of the field panels. Contractors under this program must meet the following VA standards, based on regulations promulgated by Title 38 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Section 17.53b. This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit from only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1, Single Source Awards. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 561210. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. Responsible sources that can perform the required services with vendor authorization may identify their interest by submitting their capability information by 10:00 A.M., EST, on Friday, Mar 6, 2024, in order to establish the ability of the source to meet this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this notification.
