Material is dictated by a variety of clinical staff and requires adaptation to variations in accents, speech, tone, voice volume, delivery, pronunciation, enunciation and may require corrections to grammar. Transcription of dictated materials includes a high incidence of technical terminology and requires knowledge of speciali7.ed vocabulary particular to a wide variety of specialty services. 1be material will include, but is not limited to: Discharge summaries, operative and procedure reports, compensation and pension examinations, consultations, progress notes, history and physical reports, imaging reports, and Pathology and Laboratory reports. The services shall be able to be utilize at VISN 8 Veteran's Hospital as a backup contingency to any in-house transcription systems.
