The mobile... STATEMENT OF NEED Motor Assisted Mobile Patient Lift GENERAL: The James A. Haley Veterans Medical Center needs a motor-assisted mobile patient lift system for the Emergency Department (ED). The mobile patient lift will be utilized throughout the Emergency Department. The list of equipment needed, and the salient characteristics are below. BACKGROUND: The JAHVH Tampa Emergency Department (ED) has a requirement for mobile patient lift. PURPOSE: A motor-assisted mobile patient lift system will assist staff on the transport team and the Emergency Department (ED) to assist Veterans into and out of their vehicles when assistance is needed. This lift will also be used in the ED where a ceiling lift is not available and as a backup lift if a ceiling lift is not functioning. We require (3) lifts with the following configurations: 3'' Casters with 24'' sling bars for use near the valet parking area and in the ED.
