PROJECT TITLE: Relocate and Renovate Sleep Lab and Prosthetics PROJECT NUMBER: 548-22-144 CONTRACT TYPE: Bid Build (BB), Firm Fixed Price (FFP) POP: 180 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed PROJECT SUMMARY: The West Palm Beach VA Medical Center (WPB VAMC) requires a contractor to furnish all labor, materials, and supervision required to relocate and renovate the Sleep Lab and Prosthetic Administrative Offices. PROJECT SCOPE: Contractor will renovate two designated portions on the third floor of Building 1, Main Hospital, in order to relocate the Sleep Lab and the Prosthetics Administrative Offices. The Sleep Study Rooms within the Sleep Lab will be designed with higher Sound Transmission Class (STC) ratings for the walls and doors to create a quiet room environment and will be organized to resemble a typical bedroom layout for the patient. Both the Sleep Lab and the Prosthetic Administrative Offices will be designed to comply with requirements of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 101 Life Safety Code along with the Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) Standards including the VA supplement Barrier Free Design Standard. Work included for the Sleep Lab: Two (2) Patient Sleep Study Rooms o Equip one Sleep Study Room with Patient Lift Control (Monitoring) Room Patient Toilet Room with shower stall Supplies / Storage Closet Work included for the Prosthetic Administrative Offices: Two (2) Private offices for Prosthetics Chief and Assistant Chief Four (4) Shared offices Reception area Office 3B-283 will also receive new room finish upgrades Magnitude of Construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
