General Description: The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 8, VA Caribbean Healthcare System, Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO8) has a requirement for design-build services for project titled Replace Patient Lifters at South Bed Tower and SICU. These lifters have exceeded their useful life and are beyond repair. The new lifts shall improve overall patient safety and handling by means of an improved and more modern patient lift system. This project will remove and replace all existing patient lifters at South Bed Tower (SBT) and install new patient lifters at Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU). Contractor period of performance shall be 730 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed (NTP). The magnitude of construction is: Between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000, in accordance with Veteran Affairs Acquisition Regulation 836.204 (f)(2). The SOLICITATION will be issued on or about May 25, 2023. Site Visit: No pre-proposal/Site Visit will be conducted during Phase One of the solicitation. Those offerors selected to participate in Phase Two of the solicitation will receive information about Phase Two pre-proposal conference/Site Visit in the invitation to participate in Phase Two. All information for this solicitation will be posted at GPE at SAM.gov. All interested firms must be registered in the System for Award Management SAM.GOV and must be certified SDVOSB and verified in SBA s VetCert program database (https://veterans.certify.sba.gov/) before the solicitation due date.
