AMENDMENT No. 3 SOLICITATION No. 36C24823Q1958 Laboratory Refrigerators Calibration and Certification Services Due date for Proposal/Offer submittal is hereby extended from 10/4/2023 at 1:00PM AST (Puerto Rico Local Time) to 10/10/2023 at 1:00 PM AST (Puerto Rico Local Time) RESPONSE TO VENDORS QUESTIONS AND REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION Q1. Are due dates for calibrations and certifications for each asset available? R. This is a performance-based requirement, it is the prospective contractor who shall proposed their best approach to fulfil the requirement. The equipment listed has different dates and providing them all at this time may induce to error, a detailed list of dates will be provided upon award. A minimum of three (3) are needed immediately upon award. In addition, it is the facility preference that the calibration of all units be realigned, around the same time to avoid having multiple due dates. Q2. Does the VA wish to have the refrigerators and freezers calibrated along with the temp sensors and chart recorders? Or just the temperature sensor and chart recorders? R. Each unit have their internal temperature sensor, and some also have the chart records as listed in the table included in the PWS. What gets calibrated are the unit temperature sensors and chart recorders. Q3. Can you please provide Tentative Schedules for calibration for various equipment (mentioned in SOW) or give us a general idea? R. Facility would like to calibrate all units at once (around the same time) to avoid having multiple due dates. Therefore, calibrations shall be coordinated as soon as contract gets awarded. Q4. For each freezer and refrigerator: a. What is/are the temperature point or points you will require for the refrigerator or freezer? b. Do you require a 5- or 9-point profile? c. If you do not require a profile, we will need to know what temperature point or points you need us to check along with how many probes. R. Contractor shall comply with NIST Standard to calibrate sensors & chart recorders. Typically, the calibration report shows the as found values and after calibration values. If instrument calibration adjustments are needed, then Contractor shall follow NIST standard and instruments manufacturer data to adjust. If Contractor founds that instrument is not taking calibration, then they need to report it in order for government to replace part. Q5. The Thermo Co thermometers is there a model number? R. See list below: MANUFACTURER MODEL SERIAL Thermo Co ACC10033S 34291 Thermo Co ACC6113XXS 6029 Thermo Co ACC6113XXS 6164 Thermo Co ACC10033S 34456 Q6. You list the refrigerators but says the calibration is 1 chart recorder and 1 temp sensor (hence qty 2) are you looking for a calibration of the oven or the recorder/sensor inside it? They have different calibration. If it s the chart recorder and sensor, we need the Mfgr/model of those (versus the ovens). R. Sensor and chart recorder for each unit, as applicable. Detailed information for sensor and chart recorder are specified by refrigerator or freezer manufacturer and model information which was already provided in original table.
