Orlando VA Healthcare System (OVAHCS) facilities require scheduled and unscheduled carpet cleaning services. The combined estimated total of carpeted areas throughout all facilities is 330,000 square feet (sf). This is a non-personal services contract. The Government shall neither supervise contractor employees nor control the method by which the contractor performs the required tasks. Under no circumstances shall the Government assign tasks to, or prepare work schedules for, individual contractor employees. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and all other items & services necessary to perform carpet cleaning services for Orlando VA Medical Center (VAMC) at Lake Nona, Lake Baldwin VAMC, and Lakemont Campus. The Contractor shall provide a cost-effective cleaning strategy, plan, and schedule that offers an organized approach using products & processes which remove stains & spots, offers a clean & uniform appearance, and extend the life expectancy of the carpet. All cleaning procedures & treatment shall be accomplished in accordance with industry standards applicable to professional carpet cleaning& restoration services. SITE VISIT Quoters are strongly encouraged to inspect each site to fully inform themselves of the nature of the work and the conditions under which the work is to be performed. Failure to do so shall in no way relieve the successful offeror from the necessity of furnishing any materials or performing any of the work that may be required to complete the work in strict accordance with the true intent and meaning of the specifications without additional cost to the VA. At the conclusion of the walk-thru at Lake Nona, participants will travel (transportation not provided) for a walk-thru of the Lake Baldwin VAMC & Lakemont Campus.
